West Boylston preparing for Celebration
WEST BOYLSTON — It's a Celebration.
The town is again preparing for a festival featuring a road race, music and fireworks, all culminating in a bonfire May 23.
It's a Celebration starts with a 10 a.m. 5K road race/walk.
The event, to be held rain or shine, starts at the Major Edwards Elementary School, 70 Crescent St., where water station, award sand post-race refreshments will be located. Prizes will be awarded in ages categories: up to 14; 15 to 20; 21 to 59; and 60 and over.
Registration for those up to age 19 is $10, or $15 on race day; those 20 and over are $20, $25 on race day.
Registration includes a logo T-shirt for the first 50 registrants.

The Family Style Festival will start on May 23 at 7 p.m. at Goodale Park.
Live music and fireworks will be followed by a bonfire at 9 p.m.
Rain date for that event is May 24.
The events are funded through donations from many businesses that support the organization's efforts.
